Hello flower friends 🌸 I’ve been working hard preparing beds, and planting…hoping to have this first block completed before September, and the heat🔥 I was born in and lived in the UK, we have a long spring time … at least 10-12 weeks. In the sub-tropics here in nth NSW the spring can be so so short, it’s like a flick is switched and over the period of 2-3 weeks it goes from being cool to hot. So, I’m racing spring … a lot of farm set up is in bed preparation, and that is hard labour- mainly moving compost and broad forking beds, this process is made infinitely harder in the heat of the sub tropical summer. Traveling this week for work with @gatherbymanuka … I’ve come to the Yorta Yorta nation in Barmah VIC to look at how the Manuka is growing, how we can manage it better as a team working across multiple organisations, and levels of government, future plans for planting and bees coming on-site, and exclusion fencing for the Emus and Kangaroos that damage the young trees… I love my work as I’m constantly learning from the land, the people, the plants and animals … finding ways to do things better 🥰❤️ #australianmanuka #agricultureconsultant #farmher

Ive been very blessed this week to have my ex partner, and dear friend Isaac beginning to install the irrigation system at the new farm site at Sylva Lining Organic farm Isaac installed the system I had at my farm In Mullumbimby, so I’m verrry grateful for his knowledge and expertise … being a landless Farmher having a good reliable irrigation system is essential, as I’m not living on-site. #flowerfarmher #irrigation

Well it’s finally happening flower friends!!! After 5 years of working as an Ag Consultant across multiple farms … I have leased land on my friends farm Sylva Lining Organics to start up my own production again, just outside of Murwillumbah Nth NSW Ian and Sylva have a great farm business, and certified organic farm that they have been running for the past few decades, i met them as fellow stall holders at palm beach farmers market, which i used to sell at several years ago now, so I am delighted to be on their farm. This is a project I have wanted to develop for years now ….
