The Story
Bee Friendly Blooms
The reason I started LifeForce Flower & Foliage Farm was simple: I wanted to grow flowers in a way that protects life, not harms it.
When I first learned how many commercial cut flowers are produced, I was devastated. Many field-grown flowers are routinely sprayed with insecticides and other chemicals. These flowers may look beautiful, but the impact on bees, pollinators, soil life, waterways, farm workers, and the wider environment can be deeply harmful.
Bees forage wherever flowers are available. When those flowers have been sprayed with toxic chemicals, bees can carry that exposure back to their hives, affecting not only individual bees but the health of the whole colony.
That is why the Bee Friendly Blooms — Regeneratively Grown stamp exists.
It is my promise that the flowers and foliage are grown with care for the bees, the insects, the soil, the farm ecosystem, and the people who enjoy them.
The flowers are grown locally on certified organic land using biological farming and regenerative agriculture principles and practices. The focus is on building living soil, supporting biodiversity, protecting pollinators, and growing seasonal flowers without synthetic insecticides or harmful chemical inputs.
By choosing locally grown, organic and regeneratively grown flowers, you are supporting a better way of farming. You are helping provide safe forage for bees and other pollinators, reducing flower miles, and choosing blooms that are grown close to home rather than shipped or flown long distances.
We believe flowers should bring beauty into the world without taking beauty away from the earth.
So when you buy flowers, always ask:
Where were these flowers grown?
How were they grown?
And who — or what — was impacted along the way?
Choosing Bee Friendly Blooms means choosing flowers that support life from the soil up.
